Adrienne Hawthorn
Adrienne had the ideal background in the art work before stepping up to the palette herself. She worked in the art industry for eleven years, travelling to art expos worldwide to select and purchase art for sale. She sold her business and became an artist herself. Every day she embraces her passion for her craft, whether it is gathering ideas for new works or creating those works. Adrienne strives to have her love of texture and form, colour and light shine through in each painting. Much of her inspiration comes from the world around her. “The environment provides the wonder of life and each piece of work encompasses this.”

Sue Bancroft
There is virtually nothing in the world of art that Dairy Flat artist Sue Bancroft has not turned her hand to. She works in various mediums from the from her porcelain/clay shirt entry in the Fletcher Brownbuilt pottery exhibition to photography , screen printed clothing and knitwear design and the mosaic and metal work that features in some of her outdoor artworks.
Sue enjoys working in all media and recreating what she sees in nature whether it is in copper beaten leaves or her seagull wind sculptures. Her passion is for recreating the detail of nature. “Every pohutukawa leaf painting is totally unique. Each one is hand painted using sponges, brushes and fingers depending on the leaf I am trying to capture.”
Sue sees her commissioned art as an opportunity for the buyers to have some input into the works that she creates too.
