Isla Osborne

Isla Osborne creates both contemporary glass art and beautiful jewellery. Glass is both the subject and the object in Isla’s work. It is the chemical and physical properties of glass that fascinate her. It is a fluid yet it is unyielding and delicate yet impenetrable. Glass can transform from liquid to solid in an instant and still retain the illusion of movement and that it is what continues to hold her fascination.

Isla holds a diploma in graphic design from UCOL and a post-graduate diploma in technology from Massey University. She worked as a graphic designer in London for ten years before returning to New Zealand in 2007. In recent years Isla has shown her work at a number of national and international exhibitions. In 2012 she was a finalist in both the prestigious Wallace Art Awards and the International Cliftons Art Prize. .

Karen Chan

Karen has a background in interior design. After fifteen years involved in a wide variety of design projects with her partner, Ronald Andreassend they began working on a range of hand-crafted decorative and functional objects in cast paper and resin. Over the past seven years they have developed a distinctive signature range of pierced ceramic lights inspired by classical and organic motifs. Karen's most recent works are two dimensional collages assembled from multi-coloured, pictorial resin tiles. She also creates jewellery, accessories and screen-printed textiles.
