Alison Boyce

Alison Boyce is a jewellery artist working from her home based studio in Herne Bay.  She creates one-off ‘jewellery artworks’ using a range of precious and semi-precious metals, stones and enamels.  She often uses the ancient Korean technique of Keum-Boo to add 22k gold highlight details to her work.

Alison began her silversmithing training at the Peter Minturn Jewellery School in 2006; she has since qualified as an Art Clay Silver registered instructor in 2008 and has recently trained in Tokyo in the ancient Japanese technique of mokume gane and in July, this year, attended a Carolyn Delzoppo workshop training session in cloisonné enamelling at the University of Southern Queensland.

She is a regular exhibitor at The New Zealand Jewellery Show, The Waiheke Community Art Gallery, and a number of artisan markets in the Auckland area.

Alison’s work can be viewed on her website –

www.figleafdesign.co.nz and at www.figleafdesign.blogspot.com where a slideshow of her work is available.
