Russell Jackson
Russell was born in 1947 in Auckland and he studied art history and graphic design at the University of Auckland and the Auckland Institute of Technology. His paintings reflect his love of bird life and New Zealand’s landscape, in particular its coastal environment. Russell tends to paint in enamels or acrylics on board and he has recently begun to explore more abstract concepts to broaden his repertoire that includes his better-known realist style.

Esther Ige
Esther was a student at Northcote College from 2008-2012, taking art from Year 9. Her effort and attitude in Year 11 Art saw her awarded the Sam Goodsell Matthews Photography Scholarship, allowing her to study Photography in Year 12 and 13. In 2012 Esther gained the school prize in Year 13 Photography. Esther has recently been awarded the nationwide "Top Subject Scholarship Award in Photography" for 2012. The photos that she is exhibiting come from her Level Three NCEA Photography board, entitled Make Believe. It is about a girl who loves horses and fantasizes a horse into reality.
