Tarryn Floyd

Tarryn began painting during her days as a senior student at secondary school. Now she is returning her skill and knowledge to students as an art teacher in Auckland. Tarryn paints in oils, preferring a palette of black and white and grey tones which lend a contemporary feel to her work. She draws much of her inspiration from scenic beauty and many of her works include horses and river scenes. She lives in Kaukapakapa.

Deanna Hulme

Deanna had had a lifetime working as a PA/secretary in the corporate sector by the time she discovered a passion for painting. That was back in 2000 when she attended several Get Creative workshops run by Rutherford College in Te Atatu. In turn, that led to various other part-time visual arts programmes in painting and mixed-media run by the college, and her subsequent participation in a number of exhibitions. Deanna’s interests lie mainly in landscape and seascape scenes for which she experiments with textured gels, acrylic and other mixed-media for abstract effect. She also enjoys life drawing and figurative work, which she translates into her abstract interpretations. Deanne received a third prize placing for her abstract work at the Royal Easter Show art awards in April 2010.
