Kathy Ready

Kathy is an Auckland based artist. Through the broad interpretation of abstraction, and the challenge of making colours come alive, she creates accessible works of art that impress and invite the viewer to explore further.
The first mark on the canvas manifests from a preconceived composition, a mood or the allure of a particular colour. From there, layer upon layer, the painting is allowed to unfold in unanticipated directions - the work itself dictating the final outcome.

 

Kathy has a Bachelor of Art (Hons) Degree and sells her paintings in both Australia and New Zealand. Her most recent commissions have been for the offices of CSG in Sydney, and the lounge of the Hilton Hotel in Queenstown.
