Jeanette Shearer

I have been working with clay for more that 20 years and I enjoy making representations of things that are familiar to us all.  Each piece is individually formed from either high fired porcelain or stoneware clay.  I often apply a crackle slip and iron oxide in a liquid form.  This accentuates the textural quality of each piece and the iron gives the warm brown tones of nature to the finished pieces a contrast to the pure white porcelain.
