Tessa Forde
Tessa Forde is a former student of Northcote College who has just completed her second year of architecture at Auckland University. She has always enjoyed being creative and she was heavily involved with school art subjects, exploring a range of methods and medium. Her school work focused largely on surrealism and this is evident in her more recent work. Tessa has exhibited at the past two Affair of the Heart events and she looks forward to a third year supporting the
school that so strongly developed her passion for the arts. This year Tessa is branching out and including contemporary jewellery that she has been designing over the course of last two years.

Julia Henderson
Born in England, Julia is now an established, award-winning New Zealand artist. She has been exhibiting her vibrant acrylic and pastel works for more than fifteen years as well as teaching and judging art. Her style often features Pacific Island themes and it is colourful and direct.
“My paintings celebrate the people and places, the sun and the heat and the warm inviting shapes, patterns and forms of the Pacific”.
Julia’s work is represented in private, corporate and Government collections in New Zealand and overseas. Among many awards, she has twice won the Telecom Regional Art Award for Auckland and is an Artist Member of the Pastel Society of New Zealand. She recently exhibited in New York.
