Jan Hart

Jan has worked as an artist most of her life using many mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolour and dyes and inks for airbrushing. Her colourful and vibrant paintings hang in private and corporate collections both in New Zealand and overseas. Jan has had considerable success with her oil pastel works which sometimes incorporate gouache or acrylic. At times she pushes the oil pastel medium to the limits to explore new ways of expressing her love of that particular medium. The techniques she may use change according to the mood and subject of the painting. 

Jan exhibits widely in group and solo exhibitions and in galleries. She has won many awards including first prize in the oil/acrylic section of the Royal Easter Show in 2008 with an oil pastel painting. Teaching and sharing her techniques with others gives her a valued opportunity to share her talents with others too.
